Are Your Customers Getting the Full Value of Their Home and Auto Policy?

A simple check-in can help make sure your customers are taking advantage of what’s available to them and getting the most from their coverage.
Start With Value-Added Programs
Many Westfield customers have access to no-cost tools and services that go beyond traditional insurance coverage, such as:
- Ting®: Detection of potential electrical fire hazards in the home. ¹
- LeakBot®: Early alerts for hidden water leaks before they become costly repairs. ²
- MissionSafe®: Potential discounts and insights that encourage safer driving. ³
- MyWestfield®: Convenient access to policy, billing, and claims information.
Highlight Built-In Coverages
WesPak® and WesPak Estate® customers are often surprised to learn about the coverages already included in their policy. Highlighting some of these lesser-known protections can help customers get a fuller picture of their coverage.
Depending on the policy, examples may include:
- Spoiled food
- Temporary housing
- Loan/lease gap coverage
- Roadside assistance (included with WesPak Estate and available as an affordable addition to WesPak policies)
Consider Additional Coverages
As your customers’ needs evolve, it’s worth exploring whether additional coverages may provide valuable protection. Depending on the policy, options such as inland flood or cyber protection may be available.
Don’t Overlook Available Discounts
In addition to programs and built-in coverages, customers may also have access to savings opportunities they may not be aware of, including:
- Multi-policy discount for WesPak and WesPak Estate customers who also have a Westfield business policy. Discount applied at issuance or midterm.
- Loyalty discount for customers with continuous home and/or auto coverage. Discount eligibility begins after one year with Westfield.
- Prior carrier discount for auto policyholders with three or more years of continuous coverage with a prior carrier. Discount applied at issuance.
- Young driver discounts, for eligible students, including full-time students with qualifying grades, drivers who have completed an eligible driver training course, and college students living away from home without a vehicle at school. Discounts applied at issuance or midterm.
- Discounts for eligible loss-prevention features, such as central burglar alarms, fire alarms, whole-house generators, and sprinkler systems. Discounts applied at issuance or midterm.
A Simple Check-In Can Go a Long Way
Customers who understand and use the programs, services, coverages, and discounts available to them are more likely to recognize the value of their policy and become loyal customers.
Whether it’s a quick email, brief phone call, or a more in-depth conversation, taking a few moments to highlight these benefits can help reinforce that value. For more comprehensive discussions, consider using our annual insurance review checklist to help guide the conversation.
All coverages are subject to the limits set forth in a customer’s policy. The information contained herein is provided solely as a general overview of coverage by Westfield and does not replace the terms and conditions of actual policy language.
1 Ting is available while supplies last. Customers must have an eligible homeowners, WesPak®, WesPak Estate®, or farmowners policy with an owner-occupied dwelling to claim Ting. Eligible customers must enroll in the Ting program via a MyWestfield® account. No payment information is required to claim a Ting offer. There are no monthly fees, subscription costs, or installation fees during the initial three-year service period. Prior to the end of the initial service period, Westfield will communicate any potential program updates. There is no obligation to continue the service. Participation in the Ting program has no impact on insurance coverage or premium. For more information on Ting, go to http://www.tingfire.com.
2 The Westfield LeakBot program provides eligible homeowners with a free LeakBot smart water leak alarm and unlimited free repair visits from a LeakBot plumber for any leaks identified by the LeakBot smart water leak alarm during the first two years of the program. Free leak repair visits include labor, parts, and taxes with no hidden costs or fees during the initial two-year period. However, any individual part costing over $250 will not be covered. Program benefits are subject to the homeowner’s continued status as a policyholder of Westfield and Westfield’s continued relationship with LeakBot. Westfield is not responsible for the functionality of the LeakBot device or the LeakBot repair services. LeakBot is currently available to eligible Westfield homeowners insurance policyholders in Indiana, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.
3 Customers must have an eligible auto, WesPak, or WesPak Estate policy to enroll in MissionSafe. Enrollment in the MissionSafe program can be terminated at any time. For more information, review the MissionSafe terms and conditions.
