What Types of Vehicles Are Covered With Roadside Assistance?

Roadside assistance coverage applies to private passenger vehicles, such as cars, pickup trucks, SUVs, and vans. Westfield does not offer roadside assistance plans for motorcycles, RVs, boats, or commercial insurance policies. However, Westfield does offer a separate towing and labor coverage endorsement for personal auto recreational vehicles like antique and collector cars, registered dune buggies, electric cars, licensed motorcycles, motor homes, and recreational trailers, as well as commercial vehicles.

The professional who helped me was wonderful. Very thoughtful, considerate, and knowledgeable of the situation. Made the process feel effortless, especially when I had both kids with me.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you have a Wespak or Wespak Estate policy, roadside assistance is included, unless you decline this coverage. For all other policies, log in to your MyWestfield account to view your coverages or contact your agent.

Most customers can expect to pay around $10 per vehicle to add 24/7 roadside assistance to your policy. Several factors can impact your price, including the age, make, and model of your vehicle.

It depends. While many services and expenses are covered, you could incur out-of-pocket costs if a tow exceeds the covered miles, or a fuel delivery is more than 2 gallons. If you incur out-of-pocket expenses, payment is due at the time of service.

Your vehicle will be towed to the nearest place where repairs can be made unless you request another location. In that case, we offer 10 discretionary miles. For example, if the nearest repair shop is 5 miles but you would like to tow to a different shop, roadside assistance will cover 5 miles plus an additional 10 discretionary miles, for a total of 15 miles. If you choose a shop in excess of this limit, you will be responsible for any additional charges incurred.

Complementary transportation via Lyft ride-sharing services is offered at the time of a tow dispatch where applicable. If you called for help, Agero will arrange your Lyft ride. If you requested a tow via the self-service portal, you will be offered a digital Lyft coupon and will have full control over scheduling your Lyft service.

Note that this service may not be offered if the breakdown is located on a highway, a Lyft service is not available, or the customer requests Premium or Black service. Please see your policy language for any limitations or exclusions.

Roadside assistance is designed to help if your vehicle is disabled due to mechanical or electrical breakdown events. If you’ve been in an accident, follow our step-by-step guide to help ensure your safety and a smooth claims process.
