Craig Welsh Announces Retirement from Westfield

We know this news may be met with mixed emotions, as Craig has been a strong presence and familiar face to many agencies over the years. His relationships, leadership, and advocacy for the independent agency channel have left a lasting mark on Westfield and the agencies we are proud to work with.

Craig’s Career and Impact

Craig has dedicated his entire career to Westfield, including more than 13 years leading Distribution and 12 years serving in, and ultimately leading, the Agribusiness Division. He began his career as a Field Underwriter across several states. Throughout his tenure, Craig has helped strengthen Westfield’s relationships with agencies and has been a consistent, respected voice for the company across the industry.

Recognizing Craig’s longevity with Westfield and the depth of his relationships across the industry, we have a thoughtful transition plan in place, beginning with this announcement. Over the coming months, Craig will continue supporting key initiatives, including National Partner Management efforts and the completion of several strategic projects, while also intentionally transitioning key agency relationships and sharing insight and context to ensure continuity.

Looking Ahead

Westfield continues to move forward with strong leadership in place across our business segments, providing stability and continuity during this transition. Our Distribution team, under Sara Tester’s leadership, is actively pursuing a new Head of Distribution Management and National Partner Manager. We will continue to share additional updates as leadership roles are filled over the coming months.

As we look ahead to 2026, our focus remains on stability, smart and intentional growth, and visible leadership that supports our agency relationships. We remain committed to providing clarity, reliability, and continuity as we move forward together.
