The primary goal of Risk Services is to provide information and risk analysis to aid in writing and retaining profitable business for the organization. Our team coordinates with our customers, business partners and agents to identify sources of loss and provide consultation and provide practical solutions to meet our customer's needs. We use business analytics to focus our services in the areas which have the greatest impact for risk improvement for both our customer and Westfield.
The Premium Audit department conducts audits on our commercial lines policies, written with estimated exposures. Premium audits enable customers to pay the correct premium for their coverage, understand the proper classification for their type of risk/business and more accurately predict annual premiums.
Well known in the industry, our name and our brand set us apart. Our Surety team provides best-in class service and custom solutions that help secure new opportunities. We offer a consistent but flexible underwriting approach and a full line of surety products as well as a dedicated, professional surety claims team.
Being fair and responsive is less about protecting things and more about protecting our customers. Our Personal Lines teams are responsible for developing new products and services, policy processing, underwriting and sales. We work closely with our agency partners who sell our products, helping them establish business plans, marketing campaigns and operational processes designed to help generate and retain customers.
Westfield Claims representatives deliver on our promise of protection by taking care of our customers during a time of loss. They are empowered to analyze loss and make sure we pay what we owe. Our representatives handle claims from a variety of locations including our Home Office, service offices located throughout our operating states, and in some cases from their homes.
Customer Care is responsible for handling claims intake calls, billing calls and collecting premium payments. On average, Customer Care answers nearly 32,000 calls per month. This team works with our customers and agents every day, helping them through the billing process and providing options to make payments easier. Additional career opportunities include reconciling agent and customer accounts, quality analyst and collections administration. Our experienced customer service professionals know how to treat our customers well and represent Westfield as knowledgeable solution providers.
Accounting & Finance
Our accounting and finance teams report timely financial information to regulatory bodies, taxing authorities, and rating agencies as well as provide internal business partners with financial information to assist with business decisions.
Determines and analyzes rates, and recommends changes based on trends in loss experience. Actuaries quantify the impact of proposed changes on our customers and justify the changes to state regulatory agencies. Functions include analyzing loss and loss adjustment expense reserves, developing and implementing models for company planning and profitability, and identifying database specifications and enhancements.
Analytics Resource Center (ARC)
Drives agency, business and customer analytics across the organization. ARC provides analytic, business intelligence and information governance expertise, and creative direction, reporting and timely analytic support to key decision makers across the company.
Is responsible for corporate compliance, privacy, intellectual property and legal defense of the company including all of Westfield's electronic discovery efforts.
Carries out Westfield's legacy of caring; our commitment to be a good corporate citizen is an extension of the fundamental role that insurance plays in ensuring stability for families, businesses and communities in times of uncertainty. We distribute more than $3 million annually through our private foundation and company, and we focus a significant portion of those resources on priority areas that mirror the service we provide every day.
Corporate Risk Management
The corporate risk management team provides the oversight to our enterprise risk management and reinsurance functions.
The role of the Government Relations team is to support our various business units in each state. We work to advance a favorable regulatory environment and eliminate statutory barriers to corporate plans.

Internal Audit provides independent and objective consulting services designed to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of our operations by improving risk management, internal controls, governance and the implementation of best practices.
Manages a large, marketable securities portfolio to provide a predictable, stable and growing stream of investment income. We seek individuals who have heavy academic exposure to financial disciplines like accounting, finance or economics.
Provides services that align with Westfield’s business needs. Includes technical support for agency automation solutions; guidance, resources and effective delivery for prioritized projects; rate and product maintenance for all automated lines of business; visionary technological direction; and development of software applications, maintenance of current systems, software selection, package implementation and data management.
Marketing & Corporate Communications
Achieves business results through people, process and technology by positioning our consumers and customers as the means through which we achieve our mission, vision and goals. We clearly articulate the Westfield brand across targeted audiences; creating experiences that drive measurable business value and execute strategies to empower a change ready organization.
Manages vendor risk and performance and realizes optimal value from its vendors and third-party providers.
Our General Services team focuses on real estate operations, workplace design and leasing, safety security and compliance, and fleet and travel. We focus on providing a safe, secure and inviting environment for our employees and guests. We believe the workplace is a driver of business performance and we are dedicated to investing in a workplace that influences talent attraction and retention, productivity, employee engagement and collaboration.
Plans and hosts events for our agents, customers and other guests at our Westfield Center, Ohio campus as well as an outstanding corporate dining experience for our employees. Westfield Country Club provides impeccable service to our guests at world class facilities, including two championship 18-hole golf courses, restaurant and bar, and outdoor pavilion. Blair Center, our banquet and meeting facility, provides a relaxing business atmosphere for our guests. The Westfield Inn is a Georgian style building with 64 guest rooms that hosts our overnight guests with the utmost care and professionalism.
