Venture Leader - Talent Strategy
Ashley is an energetic, thoughtful human resources leader that loves nothing more than enabling business strategy with intentional talent planning. She’s held leadership roles in talent acquisition and talent management specializing in organizational development and design, culture merger & acquisition, high potential identification and development, employment branding/value proposition, and employee experience. Her experience spans industries including fintech, healthcare, and technology. Her undergraduate degree is in business management and organizations with a thematic sequence in law from Miami University and she holds a Master’s degree in HR Development from Xavier University. Ashley has a Master’s certificate from Cornell University in Leading Talent Optimization and is certified in organizational design, 360 coaching, and as a Strategic HRBP. The role she gets the greatest pride out of is wife to Eric and mom to son, Eliot.
What is your role at 1848 Ventures?
As a Venture Leader for Talent Strategy, I drive the development and execution of the talent strategy for 1848 Ventures. I lead all aspects of developing and maintaining a repeatable platform for talent attraction, immersion/integration and acceleration of success for the 1848v team. I ensure we attract, develop and retain a diverse, highly qualified team that integrates well and is able to develop a meaningful and impactful career. In addition, I function as part of the 1848 Ventures leadership team contributing to our strategy, business plan, and execution.
What interested you about joining 1848 Ventures?
I was excited about the opportunity to help build something new. The challenging work was inviting and motivated me to make the transition to influence the how we build a culture and environment where people thrive.
What is one thing most people don’t know about you?
I’m an amateur backyard farmer - I have silkie chickens, raised garden beds, 2 mallard ducks and hope to add honeybees in the near future.
