Common Endorsements

What is an Endorsement?

Because every customer’s needs are different, insurance companies offer endorsements that allow customization of home and auto coverage. Typically, endorsements expand coverage.

There are many different kinds of endorsements. We’ve listed a few of Westfield’s most popular options to give you an idea of the coverages and services commonly added to home and auto policies. These are probably some of your best coverage for value options when it comes to rounding out your coverage.

Common Home Endorsements

Identity theft coverage provides up to $20,000 for expenses incurred as the result of identity theft, as well as resolution services, including travel assistance to get home if you lose your wallet and/or passport while traveling.

Equipment breakdown coverage protects against unexpected repair or replacement costs due to mechanical, electrical or pressurized systems breakdown, at a fraction of the cost of a home warranty plan. In some states, when repair or replacement if required due to equipment breakdown, Westfield now will pay up to $3,000 to repair or replace with green equipment.

Backup of sewer and drain coverage protects against loss caused when water backs up through sewers or drains which overflow from a sump pump – particularly useful for homes with finished basements.

Common Car Endorsements

Roadside assistance provides towing and roadside services for your covered vehicles, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and you’re covered throughout the United States and Canada. Whether you lock yourself out of your car, have a flat tire or just run out of gas, help is just a toll-free phone call away. *Roadside assistance is included in a Wespak home and auto policy.

Lease/loan gap coverage can be added to your policy when you buy or lease a new car. In the event of a total loss, this coverage pays the difference between the book value of the vehicle and the amount still owed on a lease or loan.
