Christopher M. Paterakis has been promoted to human resources leader of Westfield Group, replacing Deborah Lyons who retires with more than 30 years of service.

Beginning his career in 1992 as a claims trainee in the company basic school, Paterakis has held roles in claims, human resources, and commercial lines over his 17 years at Westfield. He also spent 18 months as the business intelligence program change/communication manager in 2006 and 2007. His latest role was executive - commercial lines middle market, where he leads the commercial lines teams in Tennessee, West Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina.

Paterakis holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Baldwin Wallace College and will receive his MBA from Baldwin Wallace in 2010. Chris also holds the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) designation from the Society of Human Resources Management.

Paterakis and his wife Alexia reside in Fairlawn with their young son, Christopher. In his spare time, he enjoys family activities, golf and sports cars.
