Taking the Lead on Health and Wellness Initiatives, Westfield Launches a New Program to Offer Employees Access to On-Site Coordinator

Adding to a portfolio of programs and benefits designed to enhance work/life balance, Westfield Insurance and health care partner UnitedHealthcare are pleased to announce the appointment of Westfield’s UnitedHealthcare (UHC) Health and Wellness Coordinator, Becky Loucks. Loucks will serve as the on-site coordinator to company employees.

The introduction of the UHC Health and Wellness Coordinator is Westfield’s latest enhancement to an extensive employee health and wellness initiative. The opportunity to introduce this position and its associated services are made possible by Westfield’s partnership with UnitedHealthcare, an operating division of UnitedHealth Group, the largest single health carrier in the United States.

Loucks is responsible for providing employees with professional health and wellness education, programs, recommendations and resources. In her position, she will:

  • Deliver health and well-being educational and behavioral modification programs.
  • Conduct one-on-one healthy lifestyle counseling.
  • Refer and promote on-site health education classes and employee assistance programs."
  • Encourage use of Westfield’s fitness center and participation in local community health and fitness programs.

The on-site coordinator and associated services offered directly in the workplace complement a multitude of other health and wellness programs offered by Westfield to its employees. Other programs include:

  • Comprehensive benefit packages for employees and family members, including access to a network of preferred medical providers, online management and mobile tools.
  • Individual biometric assessments and education on health statuses and conditions.
  • On-site fitness center and classes, health and wellness programs and consultation.
  • Educational resources and lifestyle programs, such as Westfield Gardens, aimed at promoting work/life balance.
  • Healthy food options on the corporate cafeteria menu, made on-site by Westfield's hospitality department, and access to a seasonal farmers market.
  • Incentives to participate in local fitness events, intramurals and programs.

Loucks is a registered nurse with 40 years of experience, formerly serving as the manager of sales and admissions for the Visiting Nurses Association, a case manager for Gates McDonald,and a school nurse.
