Westfield Insurance, an insurance carrier based in Westfield Center, Ohio, has launched its fifth corporate blog titled "At Your Service," to serve as a resource and communication tool for the hospitality industry. The blog presents the combined expertise of more than a dozen Westfield hospitality and insurance professionals, to cover the interests and issues faced in the hotel, restaurant and golf course industries.

Westfield Insurance calls on its first-hand experience owning and self-operating several hospitality businesses at its Westfield Center campus headquarters, including: a la carte dining, catering and corporate food service operations, a highly acclaimed small luxury inn and two 18-hole championship courses.

Blog contributors include hospitality managers, chefs, insurance and risk management professionals, golf course managers, event planners, customer relations managers and more. In addition to serving the corporate hospitality community, the blog will also have a consumer focus, offering event planning tips, seasonal recipes and resources that are relevant to a wide range of readers.

"'At Your Service' gives us the opportunity to share valuable insight and connect on a personal level with hospitality owners and operators," said Mark Farrell, blogger and Westfield Group hospitality operations leader. "Our goal is to provide the industry with knowledge, resources and entertainment, calling on our first-hand experience in operations, and extensive risk management and insurance knowledge."

Farrell added, "This blog truly features Westfield’s own 'bread and butter,' offering a combined expert resource in both hospitality operations and insurance."

In 2009, Westfield launched its Signature Series specialized line of commercial insurance products designed to protect the unique risk exposures of restaurants, hotels and golf courses.

"At Your Service"” joins other Westfield blogs, including "InfoSec," which features information security tips and resources, "Risk Factors," which covers risk management and loss control, "Grains of Knowledge," which serves the agribusiness and farm insurance industries, and "Westfield Greens," which is being relaunched in conjunction with "At Your Service" to focus on issues specific to golf and course management.

"Like all of our corporate blogs, 'At Your Service' is part of Westfield’s ongoing efforts to provide valuable, useful information for our audiences, and is easily accessible online," said Gary Christy, branding leader for Westfield Insurance.
