Ohio and Kentucky Storm Information

September 14, 2008, marked the largest storm event in Westfield history. In the time that has elapsed, we have received more than 10,000 storm-related claims.

Our storm team reacted quickly to begin providing immediate relief to our affected policyholders. During the five days following the windstorms, Westfield made contact with 95 percent of policyholders reporting damages. After the initial five-day rush, we were able to make contact with claimants within a day of receipt.

"Westfield came together and pulled all its resources to ensure every policyholder experienced the superior claims service they deserve during these desperate times," says Senior Executive of Claims Mike Prandi. "We set up regional storm operations in several remote areas in Ohio and Kentucky to ensure we met the demands of all our policyholders."

Although loss volume on this storm has slowed dramatically, we are still receiving some new claims. You can rest assured that we will continue to staff for this event until we are confident we have satisfied the needs of our Westfield customers.
